At Lynmore school, we strive to support all children to develop a range of skills and capabilities (key competencies) that will help them succeed in life.
New Zealand is a vastly different place these days. While it is an exciting time to be a student, it is important that they are being prepared for this ever changing world. It is no longer good enough for children to soak up information; children need to, now more than ever, learn how to use information and work with others. Additionally it is important that students learn how to learn and develop their thinking capability and capacity so that they can be successful in their world.
Key competencies support the development of many of these crucial learning characteristics and are woven into all areas of our Lynmore School Curriculum.
